Former basketball coach Park Seung Il made headlines several times over the year because of his close relationship with the SNSD members.
Park, who’s been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a big fan of SNSD, and so it inspired member Sooyoung to visit him at the hospital. More recently, he attended SNSD’s concert in Seoul.
On August 3rd, maknae member Seohyun paid a visit to the hospital, and the visit was said to have put Park in good spirits. The two snapped some photos together, which Park shared on his website, writing, “SNSD’s maknae and mom together…”.
Seohyun also gave Park Seung Il a gift, which were an exclusive album with the members’ signatures and a portable DVD player.

Super Junior, the leading men of the Hallyu wave, have finally returned to home base on MBC’s Music Coreto promote their fifth official album. Though their lead track may be titled, “Mr. Simple“, the unique performance they’ve put on tonight is anything but!
The group have once again rocked the stage with a powerful, energetic choreography. Since the lyrics for “Mr. Simple” express society’s loss of motivation and dreams due to their overly-complicated lifestyles, Super Junior decided to deliver flashy visuals to match their message.
Meanwhile, Heechul tweeted a photo before their comeback stage, “Our thankful SNSD dongsengs, who came to cheer for us on Music Core!! Right now is Girls’ Generation!! We are Super Junior!!.”
